Mr Neville Peiris is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants
of Sri Lanka, counting over 40 years’ experience in Finance & Management, both
locally and internationally. He has also followed several overseas Management
Programmes in Singapore and Japan. He functioned as the Finance Director and
Company Secretary of Singer [Sri Lanka] Ltd, from 1985 to 2001 and thereafter
functioned as a Regional Controller of the Singer Corporate Management
overlooking the Financial and controllership functions of several Singer
operations such as Jamaica, Philippines, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the
Middle East until he retired in the year 2006. During the period he functioned
as the Finance Director of Singer Sri Lanka Ltd., he contributed immensely to
the continuous growth of the Company, and also served as Non-Executive Director
of Several Public Quoted and Private Limited Liability companies in Sri Lanka,
including Regnis Lanka Ltd., Commercial Leasing Co Ltd., Commercial Fund
Management [Pvt] Ltd., Equity Lanka [Pvt] Ltd., Commercial Insurance Brokers
[Pvt] Ltd., and First Capital Ltd.
He presently serves on the Boards of Namunukula Plantations PLC, Hunter &
Company PLC, Peoples Merchant Finance PLC, Lanka Canneries [Pvt] Ltd and South Asia Textile Industries [Pvt] Ltd.
Managing Director / CEO
Mr Sitendra Senaratne counts over 30 years managerial experience in the
Marketing, Manufacturing and Administration. During his distinguished career in
the private sector, he has served as the Chief Operating Officer of C W Mackie &
Co. Ltd., Assistant Chief Executive of Ceymac Rubber Co. Ltd., Assistant Chief
Executive of Ceytra Ltd., Managing Director of Mackgrains Distributors Pvt Ltd.,
Director of Scan Products Holding Co. Ltd., Director of Scan Products
Manufacturing [Pvt] Ltd., and Scan Tours and Travels Ltd.
He is a Diploma Holder from the University of Sri Lanka, Katubadda Campus,
Diploma Holder in Marketing, Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK
and Member of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining – U.K.
At present, Mr Senaratne is a Director of Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC, South Asia
Textile Industries Lanka [Pvt] Limited and Palla & Company [Pvt] Limited. He is
also the Managing Director/CEO of Ceylon Leather Products Distributors [Pvt]
Limited and the Chairman of the Colombo Rubber Buyers’ Association
Mr Mangala Boyagoda is a senior banker, possessing over 30 years’ experience
holding key positions in the field of financial services. He is a specialist in
Debt markets, Financial Risk Management and in the re-structure of companies. He
was the former CEO of Standard Chartered Bank, and at present Chairman of Wealth
Lanka Management [Pvt] Limited. He is also a Director SAFE Holdings [Pvt] Ltd.,
Wealth Trust Securities Ltd., New World Securities [Pvt] Ltd., Asset Trust
Management [Pvt] Ltd., Ceylon Hotels Corporation, Cargills Agriculture and
Commercial Bank and Sierra Construction Ltd.
Mr Boyagoda has served as a Consultant to the Asian Development Bank [ADB], the
World Bank, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, the Securities and Exchange
Commission of Sri Lanka as well as in Bangladesh. He was a Committee member of
the Financial Reform Task Force and is a former President of the FOREX
Association of Sri Lanka.
Mr Boyagoda holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Irish
International University [European Union].
Mr.A. G. Weerasinghe
Mr A G Weerasinghe is a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers, Sri Lanka and holds
a B. A. in Economics from the University of Ceylon, Peradeniya. He is an
experienced senior Banker who served the Board of Pan Asia Banking Corporation
PLC as a Director from 2005 and is the immediate past Chairman of Pan Asia
Banking Corporation PLC. Mr Weerasinghe served as an Assistant Lecturer in
Economics, University of Ceylon Peradeniya.
He was a former Deputy General Manager, Corporate Banking at Bank of Ceylon and
has served as Country Manager Bank of Ceylon London and Deputy General Manager
International at Seylan Bank. He was also a former President of Sri Lanka FOREX
Association. Currently he serves on the Board of Taprobane Holdings Ltd.,
Environmental Resources Investment PLC, Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC and The Colombo
Pharmacy Company PLC.
Mr. Priyantha Fernando
Mr.Priyantha Fernando served as the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Sri
Lanka, from January 2010 to September 2011. He has represented the country and
the Central Bank in several international forums. He was the Chairman of the
SAARC Payments Council working towards the convergence of the National Payment
system of Individual countries to enable cross border payments through banks in
the SAARC region. As the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank he served as an
ex-officio member of several regulatory bodies including the Securities and
Exchange Commission of the Sri Lanka, Insurance Board of Sri Lanka. Also he
functioned as the Chairman of the Credit Information Bureau of the Sri Lanka and
the Sri Lanka Institute of Bankers. Mr.Fernando also has served in the Board of
the Employer's Trust Fund and LankaClear (Pvt) Ltd, the National Payment
Clearing Organization jointly owned by the Central bank and all commercial banks
in Sri Lanka. During his tenure as the Deputy Governor, he functioned as the
Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Employee Provident Fund (EPF),
Chairman Financial Stability Committee, Member of the Monetary Policy Committee,
Member of the Steering Committee on the issue of the Sri Lanka Sovereign Bind
2011 and Member of the Inter-Regulatory Institutional Council and Member of the
Risk Management Committee. He also functioned as the Secretary to the Monetary
Board. Based on his very long and diverse experience at the Central bank,
Mr.Fernando brings in multi-disciplined skills in Strategic Planning &
Management, Fund Management, Integrated Risk Management, Corporate
Restructuring, Capital Market Development, I.T. and Payments Systems to the
Boards that he is currently serving.
Presently, he serves as an independent director of the Union Bank of Colombo
PLC, Hambana Petrochemicals Ltd, Commercial Leasing and Finance PLC, Commercial
Insurance Brokers, Taprobane Holding PLC and a Commissions Member of the
Securities & Exchange Commissions. In April 2013, he was appointed as the
Chairman by the Governor of the Central Bank to the collapsed Golden Key Credit
Card Company Ltd, with a view to revive its commercial activities and re-pay the
dues to the security deposit holders.
He holds a B.Sc. degree from the University of Peradeniya and a M.Sc. degree in
Statistics from the University of Birmingham, England. He has also undergone
professional training in the fields of macro-economic analysis and Banking in
the international organizations including the International monetary Fund,
Bureau of the Economic Analysis and Commerce U.S.A.
